Don't Fret precious i'm here
Filth. That is what this place is fully of. Except for her. She is the only thing in the world that has ever been right in his eyes. Perfection at its finest. Dark hair, and dark almond shaped eyes, framed in a face that holds the purist look of innocence even though deep in those eyes lays the true nature of such a beautiful creature. A rose riddled with thorns - untouchable. How his chest swells with pride when he gazes upon her. To call her sister is the greatest honor in his life.
Drawing his jacket tighter Yuki walked along the school grounds trying to find a moment of escape away from the noise and filth. Games could become mundane and the year had only just begun. She is the only one keeping him sane, the one that anchors and balances him. The only one he never wishes to be with out.
Turning his gaze to the side he looks to her, seeks her out as if he was worried in the moments he wasn't looking she might have faded away. But as his dark eyes look her over he says not a word - did they ever need words? They had always been so in tune - two bodies, one mind, one soul. He didn't expect others to understand, let alone their aging Aunt. How often had she commented on how they needed space from one another? That they needed interests that were their own. But what did the hold hag know? Nothing.
Finally they reach the spot near the lake that he had been seeking. Far enough from the school that he doesn't have to worry about being overly stimulated by their 'peers' but close enough that the walk back will short and bearable. Shaking his arms out of his jacket he offered it to his sister, or more he drapes it over her shoulders - he isn't about to see her catch a cold from the onset of cold that is the Scottish fall. Looking out at the dark water Yuki let a sigh escape his lips.
"Do you remember the lake back - in Japan?" There was a pause in his speech, he had almost used the word home. But had they ever really had a home? Shipped from one place to another over their short life time - she, was his only constant, his home. "The one mother never wanted us to go near after, which one was she - the thirteenth? - after that nanny had her accident in it..." Slowly his lips parted into a wicked half smile as he recalled the dead nanny.
Turning to his sister he reached a hand out and pushed back her dark hair from her face so he could look fully at her face. Yes, his sister with the face of an angel - but they were not heaven sent, were they? "I would much rather be at that lake." He said softly as his dark eyes met with her's. He let his hand slip down her soft jaw line and fall down at his side. How many men had fallen for that face? How many men had thought they could capture her diamond heart? One so cold, beautiful, and unbreakable.
At seventeen it had become their choice to return to the school, to complete their years of study. Yuki would say it was perhaps the lesser of two evils, at least at school they had others around to entertain them and not just the hag who tried to buy their love and push herself into their life. Then again, they still had to wait, wait for the Australian government to declare their parents dead - then the money would be theirs. No longer would they have to rely on the hag. It would be just the two of them. Just this thought along brought a genuine smile to Yuki's lips. He wondered if Yumi knew just what he was thinking about - of course she did though, didn't she always?
"Maybe we can go back, when everything is...resolved." Yes, they would have the old Satō estate. Though - they were rejected by their family. Even if they were pure in blood their line was tainted by their mother. Impure in the sense that they carried the blood of a foreigner in their bodies. A union that had been made for political gain that the Satō family had benefited from, but still they were shunned. "Then we can resolve the rest of matters...."
Yes, the Satō family could pay for abandoning them. For letting them be shipped off to yet another country that they held no ties to. They were Satō in blood and name, this was not their country, this was not their tongue, and yet here they stood. Maybe he owed them thanks, maybe having their family reject them helped shape them into the strong young adults they were now. But he didn't dare think this. They were the ones who helped each other grow, they helped shape one another. No one else was to thank - not even their worthless parents. She was the only one who had ever helped him unlock his greatness, helped him to see just what potential lay dormant inside him just waiting to be tapped open.
Leaning down to her he pressed his lips into her hair line. Does she know how thankful he is that he gets to go through life with her? Some have asked him before what he thinks life would have been with out his twin - but he could never manage the thought. There is no him with out her. There is no life with out her. Drawing away slowly he turns his gaze back to the dark water. "One more year Yumi-chan..." His voice dropped off as his eyes grew distant. Their final year of childhood - if you could call it that. One more year to try and sort out their lives. What was to come after this? Yuki didn't know.
