a small room where the caretaker stores his broomsticks and various items.

this is where the caretaker works and presumably sleep during his/ her stays in hogwarts.

also known as the front hall. with a wide marble staircase opposite the oak doors and double doors to the right lead into the great hall.

a large hall with four long tables, and a staff table on raised platform to the front. the ceiling of the hall is bewitched to look like the sky outside. this is where meals are served, as well as where sorting was conducted in front of all students. various important gatherings and occasions are also conducted here, such as the apparition lessons and test, OWLs and NEWTs.

also known as the paved courtyard. located at the hogwarts castle's exterior area, it is connected to the viaduct and the boathouse. gobstones players usually come into this courtyard to play "snake pit" and it is home to a talking gargoyle.

this is where the staff rest during their break time. panelled room with mismatched, dark wooden chairs. the entrance is guarded by two talking stone gargoyles

this is where transfiguration classes were taught, there are several different classrooms for students from different years to study in. it is located near the middle courtyard area.

there are many unused classrooms or basically rooms fell into disused around the castles, which students could take to their own advantages as a quiet place to study, hang out or little illegal gathering - you should beware of the caretaker doing spot checks every now and then though.

also known as the entrance courtyard. a covered stone cloister with an open colonnade runs around it, and two checkpoint towers flank its entryway via the viaduct. a stone walkway leads from this courtyard into the quad, and into the viaduct entrance. this courtyard is a popular hang-out spot for students of all houses.
