James Potter and Sarah Finnigan have been best friends since they were babies along with Thomas Weasley. Their parents were friends and they were always together and around each other. It's possible that Sarah used to like James and a very slim chance that they could end up together if plots allowed or if her current final fell through. James is a lot like his father, determined, protective and passionate. He's mostly following in Harry's footsteps. His personality and everything is overall up to you. Playby isn't set, but prefered to keep with the group. James was the very first person Sarah ever told her secret (that she was a Seer) to during their 7th year at Hogwarts.

So they way I have Madison now is she did date Thomas at one point, so we can keep old plots going but it didn't last long as Madison realized she was in love with James and didn't want to hurt Thomas. She is glad that Sarah and Thomas have found each other and Sarah should encourage Madison to tell James how she feels. Of course James is endgame for Madison. I hope we get him quick lol.
