He was incredibly upset and his eyes started shifting colors and then soon after his hair. Eventually he became curious about this and started to sit in front of the mirror and play with the new development. His father thought there was something wrong with him as he would often find his son sitting in front of the mirror for no reason until he caught Jared in the act. For then on his father had a sort of pride in being his father, that's how he decided that Jared would be the one son he got right. Though Jared doesn't use it often because he doesn't like people knowing it has the habit of going haywire when he's angry. One time he turned his skin purple from head to toe because he was so angry, and sometimes when he's trying to get away from his father he'll leave the house and disguise himself using gift.Tell me who you are, I'm sure you're some kind of superstar. Free Style LIKES: Quidditch: It was just about the only sport he was allowed to play unless you counted running, anything muggle was forbidden even sports. Photography: Though he keeps this hobby hidden because he doesn't think his father would approve. Girls: Alas this particular like seems to be the greatest weakness of all great men, Jared included Mischief: He’s a young boy, obviously he would love a good round of rule breaking here and there Lying: Jared rarely tells the truth, only because he thinks the truth is too much for people to handle, he’s comfortable in his lies…they make up his world. Scheming: Jared is always thinking up plans for everything (world domination) he has a plan for everything (enslaving all of mankind) most would call him, cautions but he just likes to be prepared Quiet: Jared finds solace in the silence, gives him a break from his hectic life. Solitude: Jared is a bit of a loner considering he puts up a front for his family, sometimes that means pretending to hate them…at his dad’s insistence. DISLIKES: His father: He thinks his father is a monster and he doesn’t want to be like him though he pretends. Muggles: even though he’s half-blood his tolerance for muggles and muggle things is extremely low. Although he doesn’t voice his opinions or use derogatory names. Herbology: He hates the messiness of it, and how he has to get his hand dirty. Slobs: Jared is a bit more than a neat freak, he hates when his room mates make a mess and don’t clean it. Flowers: Although he will buy the over clichéd things for a lady friend, you wont see them in his house, room or general vicinity. BIGGEST FEAR: Turning into a monster. Jared is the ‘golden child’ or so it seems, he just puts up a mask for his father and family but he doesn’t actually know who he is. He’s afraid that he’ll lose himself (whoever he is) while trying to be the man his father wants him to be. PERSONALITY: Stuck-up- Jared is stuck up as he believes that he is better then most people, of course he cares nothing for blood status as long as one is magical. Helpful- Although jared is stuck up and mean on the outside, there are rare moments when he will help firsties or generally anybody, just as long as no one sees. Possessive- This stems from him being generally spoiled but also being the youngest he doesn’t like sharing and anything he gets he wants to keep. Anything deemed his is his and no one should try and borrow or steal it. (mostly in relationships) Jealous: Envy is one of the seven sins and one Jared commits on the regular when he sees so many siblings in school who are really close. Also pertains to relationships. Violent- Jared when angry is violent, he uses not against using physical violence and also knows good spells to fling at people, including ones that take a while to ware off. That being said Jared had to live up to high expectations from the very start, which might have put more strain on him then his father first intended. For Jared his mother dying didn’t really affect him for had she been alive she would have had nothing to do with his upbringing as Erik took it upon his self to make sure Jared was the perfect son. He was taught to hate all things muggles and that associating with them would get him a one way ticket to being nameless and penniless, and Jared was too much like his father to let that happen. He was taught proper pureblood manners (etiquette), family history, the pureblood ideal, and a lot of other things that would surely taint his innocent soul. The one thing that Erik had probably not intended was to raise a boy so much like him that the boy became uncontrollable. As he grew older and watched his siblings grow up, go to school and leave he realized that he wanted to be everything his father wasn’t. However he understood that name and money meant everything and without that you were nothing, so he had to bide his time. When his father was around he was the perfect son, always listening and seemingly following in his dad’s footsteps. However when he was gone, Jared was the playboy quidditch player. That seemed like the only thing he loved, that and his brother Jadred , who taught him everything he knew about flying and quidditch. The awesome thing about it was that his father put it off as a hobby, a fine wizarding hobby to have. When he got his first letter, that’s when Jared really stated learning to be on his own. Waking up one day he wanted to be different, he didn’t want to be another Tchaikovsky and looking in the mirror he found his hair was red, of course he though it was a trick from one of his dorm mates, until he found that he could change it at will. From there he began practicing until he could control the look of his body and height. While he couldn’t completely turn into someone else he could make himself seem close enough. His first years was spent studying and learning about his abilities. His second through third years was spent going through what everyone called the change of life, running and practicing quidditch had given him a toned body and puberty was just starting to touch the once scrawny boy. It helped that he could make his eye color the prettiest shade of blue and well he had the girls flocking. That didn’t interest him in the slightest, that’s not to say he was enjoying it, just that he had better things to do than to entertain girls. Due to this he was always breaking hearts as he hadn’t ever found the girl that interested him enough to keep him around. Jared like his father had high expectations and it seemed no girl would live up to them. He focused on his Quidditch skills and his school work as his father would have his hide for falling behind in grades. In his fourth and somewhat into his fifth year Jared is all about making a change. Well what seems like a change, he knows as he gets older his father will be able to control him less and less. Of course he has already cleared his path as a Quidditch player and if that doesn’t go well he will become an unspeakable. Because working in the ministry doesn’t really appeal to him, he’s saving that for a last resort. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend.
