Cross my heart, hope to die To my lover, I'd never lie
He said “be true,” I swear I'll try In the end, it's him and I

Gus wasn't the biggest fan of St. Mungo's, or any hospital really. She knew she didn't have any good reasons for this dislike, not like some people she knew; no the girl just didn't enjoy having to be in the place. But there was a lot Gus was dealing with and part of dealing meant coming to the hospital periodically.
It wasn't as if she advertised she was undergoing therapy, after all there were appearances she had to upkeep. Even if more so these days she questioned why. Regardless, in three months time it would be the anniversary of her escape. Yes it hadn't been a year and she was already married. The thing about therapy was they tended to focus on her.
For what felt like the first time in her life Gus was starting to question if she even knew who she actually was. After all, when had she ever truly been allowed to be herself? Sure, Liam afforded her more freedom than she had ever dreamed...but there were still expectations of her - as a wife and future mother of his children. And when she was honest there things she disagreed with and things she questioned altogether. Was she even ready to handle being a mother - seeing as she already was being a disappointment for not providing him with a child yet.
Not that Liam had outright said it. He wouldn't hurt her like that. But there was a pressure put on him, a pressure he directed on her - even if he didn't realize it.
Riley Adair was not exactly someone that Gus called best friend - but Alise never spoke ill of him so she was content enough to consider him a friend as well. Maybe it was a bit strange that she looked for the healer after she had finished with her own. But Gus wasn't ready to head back home, not yet at least. Seeking Riley out seemed like a decent enough excuse to delay her return to her home.
It took a bit of looking but the girl spotted the tall man with dark hair and bright eyes fairly easily once they were in the same hall that was. She had called to him casually her Canadian accent sticking out among the hallway chatter. Carefully she made her way to meet Riley. "Hello, sorry, I'm not interrupting you am I? You see, I was just around for...reasons, and thought I should pop in - see if you had time for tea?"
After all it was the polite thing to do right, have tea with your friends when you know they are around? Sure Riley's twin didn't exactly care for her older brother but Gus wasn't Nate and Riley was not Bailey.
