I wanna touch the northern lights, we could leave the world behind
Paxton, better known among this crowd as DJ Polaris, really enjoyed working at Magical Mayhem. Always having been the musical sort she had wondered if she could make a living of her passion - and with the help of her aunt she was doing just that. Of course some had said how the ravenclaw graduated was wasting her talents being some disk jockey. Sure, she was gifted with music and even with magic but passion had a lot more to do with living than making it rich.
There was something about watching the crowd dance as she mixed and remixed her own songs and the popular tunes of the magical and muggle worlds. This place was unique in so many ways Pax wanted to make sure their songs were just as well. There were things she could do here that she could do no where else - people she would and could meet who maybe she might have never could have otherwise.
The crowd tonight was lively, it was easy to lose track of the time as she flipped record after record, but DJing was hot work - even DJ Polaris needed to step down from the light for a minute. Switching out with a set list Pax made a stealthy exit from her station and crossed over to the bar. Not one to partake in any fun drinks while working she didn't even have to ask the bar back fro her typical water. Oh yes, what a lively bar goer she must have looked like.
Taking a seat on one of the stools Pax took a moment to just relax and enjoy the break she was one. People watching had always been her thing and tonight was no different. It was a nice crowd tonight, no fights, just fun. Still someone stood out to Pax, someone not that far from her. They were alone just a few seats down at the bar, it was a little odd and Pax couldn't help herself form remarking.
"You look lost, first timer - or just separated from your friends?" Pax offered up a friendly smile as she wanted to see what the stranger would say, maybe she hadn't read them right at all.
