Notes: I feel like these two are definitely going to get along.
Practice had seemed to be quite long today. Jay was exceptionally happy that he had been best as a beater. Through everything that he was going through in his life during the previous year, he was glad that he could get onto the pitch, up on his broom and bat a bludger with as much aggression as he wanted. He was quite happy that he'd been on the team with Puddlemere for nearly two years now. He'd been glad to have picked up, it really had been the right moment and the right time when he'd gotten picked up by the team. They were completely down a beater including a reserve. That helped a lot to get on with his professional career rather than having to wait a small handful of years as a reserve.
It was a little tough to start with, going from a team in Slytherin who were nearly all purebloods to leaving school and joining Puddlmere with muggleborns and halfbloods. He'd released the news about him not that far back. Just issued more of a statement that he would prefer privacy when he wasn't on the pitch so he could have time to figure it out with his family. It wasn't exactly the most heartfelt statement that he could have released given his background in school. Sure he could have apologized for things. Instead he was trying to learn to grow from what he was. He was learning that he should have respect for muggleborns. Learning that there was a part of his life that he needed to reflect upon. For now playing qudditch and spending time with his teammates and brother were the way that he was going to do that.
Jay had knocked the bludgers around the pitch, getting his aim on. With his mind a little distracted he'd had to rework on his aim a bit to get it back where he had been. When practice was called her flew down. A smile on his face. It was a good practice for everyone. ”Anyone up for some drinks?” he asked. He honestly may have been drinking a bit more than usual, but he definitely wasn't going to talk to anyone about his on going issues. Drinks were a much easier answer.
