Non-verbal magic was not an easy task, and took a great effort on his part from his inner strength. Anya said that it was an incredibly valuable skill to have and nearly forced both her boys to learn how to perform non-verbal magic. At one point it was expected that wandless was to be learned as well, Alek had picked it up well Dmitry though couldn't ever get it to perform right. Tell me who you are, I'm sure you're some kind of superstar. Free Style Dmitry Ilia was born as a second son to Sasha and Anya Vikhrov in the beginning of winter. The Vikhrov were a family of older blood and one that followed the great tradition in hunting, having two sons was most welcome in case the elder would ever fail, but it also welcomed additional chances to carry on the family's name, more prized for family business. Sasha was more than happy with his own outcome for his family. He was an only child and to have more opportunity for his family with Aleksander and Dmitry, well to say the least when he found out that Dmitry was a boy, he'd thrown a fairly large get together with friends and family to celebrate the birth of two sons. Dmitry and Aleksander were what were known as 'Irish Twins', Anya had both boys within the a year of each other, with Aleksander being born the September before Dmitry. Both brothers grew up not only close in age but also close as brothers should have been. Sasha raised his boys as well as he could. While he was busy he held both of his sons to standards. Respect was a must in their household. And while the boys were young they were taught that 'Yes, ma'am and yes, sir' were accepted. While boys were prized there was no disrespecting the women in the family either. Anya did most of the raising of their the two boys, she taught them most of what they knew. While their father taught them the importance of who they were to hunt and why they did what they did. Their father trained them in actual situations when they were older. They were the good guys, at least that was what they were told, and in a way it was true. They were one of the few families that did things the way that they did. They hunted only specific beings, it was the way of the families that formed their clan. There were their dark sides as well. They didn't just rid the world of those that actually caused evil. No, the families of those dark wizards... were they wizards any longer? It wasn't easy putting an end to dark families, especially the younger ones. No one could ever become accustomed to such deeds. Alek and Dmitry started their first school year together since their birthdays fell perfectly upon the cusp of the school start dates. Durmstrang was a good school. It was unique in some of the lessons that were taught within the walls, they were also unique when it came to the fact that they did not accept muggleborns. Dmitry knew all this before going in to the school. They had been taught more than most first years, but they also came from a family where the knowledge that they had would be needed to survive. The Dark Arts were more common than how to defend against them. Those were lessons that your family taught or that you learned when you had the free time. Dmitry had counted himself lucky that he'd been able to attend the school with his elder brother, especially in the same year. Not all siblings got that chance, and most were not able to attend school in the same year as their siblings unless they were twins. Alek and Dmitry were the best of friends. They didn't spend a moment away from each other that they could help. The two brothers were almost nearly always caught together, inseparable. During first year Dmitry had met Lesya Xanthopoulos. He knew of the family but had never met anyone from it, at least not that he could remember, probably some elders from the family but no one that ever set apart from the other people that his mother and father met with. They became good friends, friends that would eventually turn into two people who were supposed to marry. As the years would go by they would begin to train together to learn how to work together for a joint future. Pushed together by families who would not arrange their children into marriage. Lesya and Dmitry spent almost as much time together as he did with Alek. She was the first person that he'd really come to know aside from his brother. Dmitry felt that through the years he came to know her like he did the back of his own hand. She was a part of him. School was really there more than anything else because he had to be there. It was the summers where he learned more of what he needed for the future. Most of the clan children learned many common languages, they would learn how to defend themselves against the creatures that they would hunt, but also more about them and why they hunted them. It was more than magic, they were put to the test on a day to day basis. Dmitry felt lucky that he had Alek to do this with, and later Lesya. As they got older his parents focused on helping push Lesya and Dmitry together, he would spend his time practicing with her where she lived. Alek was sent off during the summer to train with a girl whom he was completely infatuated with. Dmitry had been fully aware of his parents attempts of trying to bring him and Lesya together. It was expected that they become husband and wife. Dmitry never knew how he felt about that. Lesya was more of a sister than anything else. The expectation of the unity was something there from a time, but became much more strong once they graduated Durmstrang and began to really become a team. During his years of training with Lesya, they also helped out her younger sister Irinka. She was eleven years younger than he and Lesya. She was practically his own younger sister. But he got on with her just as well as he did Lesya. There were so many days when he spent his time with Rinny working on the nerves of Lesya. Even then they worked hard together. Dmitry tried to push Rinny hard to make sure she never fell behind. Some days she dug her feet in the dirt and it felt he had to push harder. After an amount of time their group was joined by Zoya. Zoya was a good friend but once she joined them, there was more tension than there had used to. The new member seemed to try and spend more time with Lesya than was necessary. And there was once a time where Dmitry could have said he loved Lesya, even though he never was sure what type of love it was, but they were supposed to marry, they were pushed together, nothing arranged, but it was expected and Zoya threatened that. Once Dmitry had been completely ready he'd gone into being a curse-breaker. It was a job upon where his skills could be used on a day to day basis but also allow a good explanation for traveling. Even as young as they were they were sent on missions. They would have their own blood on their hands after soon enough. To be honest the first time it happened, Dmitry was a little put out by it. And their rules weren't to just kill the one, but to kill the all. That was hard, but one becomes hardened to that fact over time. When Rinny had gone off to school, they wrote, Lesya did too. They shared their stories, over time it seemed that they wrote more often to each other than Lesya did. It was when he was twenty-seven that they found that when Rinny would be leaving to Britian but to mentor another young witch. The group would all travel along with her. It was that year that he found himself as her sole company to send Rinny off to school. He found out her doubts of the mission. He'd tried to comfort her and have her understand that they never understood what they were meant to do but that it was important for the clan. Plans were in the works to ensure that everything was right for the family. That was the day Rinny had tried to kiss him. He'd caught before it had actually happened, and it'd been a little awkward at first, but he never tried to make her feel that she should be embarrassed even if they had a hard time talking about it. Rinny and Dmitry still wrote often, he helped her with what he could. It wasn't long after that she'd graduated that they had all packed and left for Britain. He rented a place in Aberdeen in Scotland, close enough to be reachable but in a place where he could still go off and do as he needed for his own job and the missions that they would need. Over the years it became more and more clear to him that he was never meant to love Lesya. She was his sister, one of his best friends, but nowhere in time was she his wife. He could never see it, and it was a little more than mutual. He wasn't sure how obvious it was to their families when they were aging closer and closer to thirty that they still hadn't married. Dmitry didn't want to disappoint his own family, but also hers. They just weren't in love even if mean to end up together. Would he do it for the duty, eventually? For now living their life as they should, to fight for what their clan believes in. Figuring out where he belongs in the lives of the three girls that he shares his with. Working from place to place as a curse-breaker. Ready to defeat any thing that is thrown at them, and project his best friends. Alek had gone and married into another Russian family, he was only twenty at the time. He was the one who would carry the Vikhrov name through the ages. Alek and Dmitry kept in contact but most of it was limited to letters, and even those were still limited. Dmitry was an uncle of a nephew and a niece through his brother. He was proud, but he'd only met each when they were quite little. One day, one day he would share the joy that his brother had, and have his own children despite what he did for his job. What could this new adventure in Britain end with? Where is his own life going? Only time can tell. Only time can tell where things will take the Xanthopoulos group. Dmitry still adjusted to the British wizarding world. So much more unique than that of which he grew up in. He didn't hate it. He wasn't sure if he was a particular fan of either though. There were days where he overwhelmed with this task. He didn't admit it to anyone. He never could tell people when he himself felt overwhelmed, or days when he needed that push from someone. No, he'll just continue to plow through what he can and figure it out. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend. ALIAS: Jess AGE: 25 DISCOVERY: Is this necessary anymore?
