Free Style The Drunk- Christopher wasn't a stranger to the horrors of Alcohol and what it did to the people you loved. He slowly but surely watched his mom succumb to Alcohol. The first Time he realized what a bad thing Alcohol was he was four and his grandma had came over to watch him. His father had disappeared three weeks before and his mom had been sad. He watched from a distance as his grandmother lead his mother from the couch to the bed, held her hair while she vomited, and cooked for him. All she said was that mommy was sick and that she would get better, only she didn't get better. Nope, instead she got worse. Then his father came back and her drinking seem to get better only it didn't. She was adept at sneaking away for a glass of wine or two. Soon the empty bottles in the wine cellar were just that...empty bottles. His father was rarely home and when he was, all they did was fight. The kind that left broken dishes scattered across the kitchen floor when he came downstairs for breakfast. No matter how many times you swept the floor there was always that one piece that cut you when you least expecting. It was actually his mother who surprised him, she left...one fight and a few hurtful words and she packed and left. There's a note in the bottom of his box of memories, right next to her death certificate he never opened it. Like it would explain why she thought drugs and alcohol was more important, like it would heal the wounds she left when she walked out the door. Even though he couldn't blame her, he hated her for not taking him with her, even if it was probably for the best he stayed with his father. The Neighbor - His grandmother moved in as soon as his mom left, like she was planning on it and it was only a matter of time. He never understood what his dad did, he was always gone on trips and when he was home he was bitching about how he didn't like the way the house was. He was always yelling at Christopher but he never put his hands on him. Likewise, as the girls his father brought him came in and out, Chris watched is father and he never once raised a hand to them. Sure he yelled and threatened, maybe threw a dish or two but he never raised a hand to them. What was even worse, each one brought a new determination to find the perfect girl. They type of girl that wouldn't turn into his mother, but wouldn't be such an unfit match they went their separate ways. Christopher was sure that he had all his life to find her, and then the Neighbors moved in. He knew they weren't just random neighbors in the way his father gave the man a hug and a genuine smile. He saw the way he had warm kind eyes for the man's wife and he knew that they were "family" of course the mob was like a family even if they weren't related. However he stopped paying attention when he realized that the family had kids. The first time he had met them she was there, she was sleeping because she had a cold from moving. However he had the feeling that she would be as pretty as her mother and he was right. The Girl- It was her eyes, those were the first things that he noticed about her. He was eight years old, and he wanted nothing more to keep looking at them. Then he saw her hair, a golden curtain of slightly curly and most definitely silky hair. He could tell without even touching that it would feel soft if he would touch it. However they just met and that would be weird, when she told him her name he kind of snickered. in his entire life. He showed her around the house, the swimming pool, the treehouse, all the rooms. He even let her touch his controller because everyone knew that his controller was his. It wasn't a shock that he shared everything with her and only her. He told her that she was free to come over anytime, way before his dad had invited her over to explore or eat up the food if she wanted a changed of scenery. It was in that moment that he was positive the only girl for him was Sinead, however things don't ever really turn out that way and yeah he fell of the wagon one or twice...maybe six times but those were time she never knew about. It had always been about her and it would always be about her. The promise - It wasn't that big of a deal, they were supposed to be in his room playing video games. They were supposed to be halfway between Sonic the hedgehog and sleeping. It was late, around midnight and he doesn't remember who's idea it was...maybe it was hers. It was probably hers, because one moment they were together and the next moment she was gone and he was laying on the pillow with a controller in his hand. So he walked out of his room and followed her to her house, it was only across the pool but he was sure they shouldn't be there. He was sleepy, and soon enough she disappeared into the house causing him to run after her. Eventually it lead to him being outside the door her father's study. They shouldn't have been there, and he knew it. He told her they should leave but he couldn't deny her anything, he could say to know to those beautiful green eyes so he cracked the door open and then BAM, a shot and a green light, blood and a blank stare. She screamed and he hurried to muffle her screams, using all the strength in his ten year old body to pick up the small eight year old and bring her back to the house. She was shaken up, they had been spotted and he knew that he had to take the blame. He promised to protect her, that she wouldn't end up like the people on the floor. He even took the blame the next morning for them being out there. He said they didn’t see anything, even though both him and Sinead knew they saw everything. The Change - As the months progressed he was jumpy around his father, hadn't realized how much of a dangerous man his father was, or her father for that matter. He wondered if her mother was that dangerous, if her mother was that horrible. Still he was a bit paranoid, that they would find out and so he kept a close eye on Sinead not that she would know. He was careful to play it off, never asking questions never holding her hand to close or moving to close. IT was kind of weird for him, all he wanted to was comfort her but he could tell she was freaked out about it. He told her that it was okay and that they were probably bad people, it wasn't that horrible...it was justice. He wasn't sure he believed that either but after awhile, he realized that it all made sense. How some guy would come in groveling and the be on the news the next day. He knew what his dad was and by default...what he was. The apple never fell to far from the tree. He was a bit more closed off, only his grandmother and Sinead could really get any emotions out of him. That was kind of a reflex, pushing the bad thoughts out and trying to remember the good. The school - Magic...It wasn't something that he really knew that his father was a witch, his mother was not. He had no idea who in Sinead's family was a witch or wizard...maybe it was both of them. He had no idea, he didn't care to be perfectly honest. He had shown signs when he was a baby, things floating...vases breaking and how he was always able to get things on the top shelf if he concentrated hard enough. His father explained it to him. He knew that the letter was going to come but even when it did come...he was confused...he didn't want to leave Sinead and then he realized that she was two years younger than him. He had always known she was younger but it didn't really hit him until he had to depart on the train. He was sorted into...SLYTHERIN, it wasn't a surprise though he really wanted Sinead there. He made a few friends, over the next two years and when it was Time for Sinead to start at Hogwarts, he was never too far away from her. between the way the boys looked at her and the fact that he heard whispers of beautiful she was going to be when she got older he was at his wits ends. He had to make sure that she didn't choose any other guy beside him. It wasn't that he realized that he was in love with her, it's that he didn't want to lose her in anyway. A new boyfriend meant that she would spend less time with him and more time with a stranger that he didn't know or trust. Even if he wouldn't trust anyone with her eventually he made a friend named Stefan and they were closer. As in he made friends with someone Sinead's age and house so he could have a spy of sorts. In his sixth year her finally asked her to be his girlfriend, and of course she said yes. He didn't expect anything less. Years came and went, and he graduated and went to work full time for his father. The Father- His father was the type of man who when he talked you listened. There was no if ands or butts and by watching and wanting to be as tough as him, Christopher adopted the same aura. He grew into a strong young man, just as his father was a strong man. He never changed his mind no matter how bad the idea was and he never regretted his mistakes. He saw them as something to learn from and boy did he learn from them. He taught his son the business, how to make friends, contacts, destroy the enemy and when he wasn't at school during the breaks, the summers, and just walking around Hogsmeade he was meeting with people at the three broomsticks, and handling business for his father. He had the knack for having smooth business deals, for getting Yeses from people who always said No. His father was the type of man who told Chris to learn from his mistakes, that even though they were bad people that didn't mean they had to act like monsters, even so Christopher adopted his cold and calculative demeanor, his efficiency and ruthlessness. By the time he was seventeen, he hadn't once lost a deal and he hadn't been busted by the aurors or muggle police. It was all in what his father taught him, to pin it on the competition and make yourself seem like and upstanding citizen through charity work. It was a pity that he didn't even see it coming when his father died, right after his graduation. The business- His father moved on, and died, the operation going to some guy he barely knew and he was alone with his contacts and money. So what did he do? He joined the rival company because he was pretty sure that the man running his father's business set him up. He made sure to switch the funds, bring the contacts and dealers he knew to the company, and worked his way up. He helped the company gain trustworthy suppliers, and expand not only to the wizarding world but also the muggle world. He found routes through the muggle world that helped with trafficking drugs. liquor, and weapons. He even met a shady dragon handler during his travels which made it a lot easier to get dragons and sneak them in. He also did a lot of smiling and biting his tongue, showing Erik Tchaikovsky that he was the right person for the job. That coupled with his High Newts scores, leak of criminal record, and his tendency to get the job done 100 percent of the time and he was put as a test trial when the previous one died. It was meant to be temporary until they found someone older and more experience only Christophers was so good, that it was decided that they shouldn't fix what wasn't broke. It's been a year since he started, the money he got from his family mixed with the money he makes working for the Tchaikovsky group and he's a pretty wealthy person. He also has experience with business, and it attending classes to expanded his knowledge when he's not working. Still the girl Still the girl- Even when he was away from her he thought about her. He thought about buying a new house and spending the rest of his life with her. Only he kept worrying over her being at school by herself. They had never spent so much time apart, he had never not seen her everyday. He sent her gifts, flowers, chocolates...letters. Just so she knew that he didn't forget about her but he strayed. He fell into the trap of beautiful woman...of getting what he wanted because he could. It didn't help that he was always getting his way. Even then he thought about her, none of the flings lasted too long, it was always her that he thought about. He was counting the days until they reunited and then...he heard the news of other guys talking to her...wanting her and thinking that just because he wasn't there that meant she was fair game...it mean that she was up for grabs. He had to make sure that she knew that she was his, that there was nothing wrong with him wanting to know everything she did and who she was with. He was just protecting her, protecting her from those that weren't worthy of her. The Obsession - He didn't know why but he couldn't let her go. He knew that she'd be better off with someone else. He knew that he was probably a really bad boyfriend for cheating but at the same time he didn't want to leave her alone. He loved the way she laughed and how he eyes light up when she smiled. How her blush went all the way down to her chest past the part of her shirt neckline. He couldn't help but want to see how far he could make it travel. He loved the way she bit her lip, and how her lips parted when she was confused or surprised. He loved kissing her, he loved how perfectly she fit in his arms and he was positive that she was the perfect girl for him. Who cared if he wasn't the perfect girl for him. Why is it always the girl?- It wasn't his fault. He had tried...he really did. The summer before she went back for her sixth year it was horrible. He tried to reason with her, that she was dressing different and she just couldn't talk to guys the way she was. She was so nice, she just didn't see the way they looked at her when she laughed. Or how they got horrible ideas when she smiled or nudged them or walked by in those jeans he liked. So, he took on vacation to Puerto Rico, and made sure she didn't leave the vacation house. He just wanted to spend time with her, so what if was a closed off location...with just them and a private beach. So what if he didn't want her to leave. Eventually he got her to understand that, he told her parents they were on summer vacation and she backed him up. It made him smile, she had to know that he was doing it for her own good...Okay maybe he didn't exactly tell her that she was going to be convinced to the vacation home to explore a new country. He apologized and bought her a necklace after, in the way his father always bought his girlfriends to apologize when he acted irrational. He assumed that she forgave him, but he made Stefan watch her just in case. He hoped Stefan didn't want his girl, because he was sure that he wouldn't care if Stefan died. Somewhere in the back of his closet, there's a box with a letter at the bottom, if would bother to open it...if he would gather the courage to open the letter he'd find a small rectangle piece of paper. On that paper in familiar writing the words "Be better than us" would be there. Maybe if he had read that letter....his life would've turned out differently. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend. ALIAS: Marie AGE: 18 DISCOVERY: I live in the attic?
