The dog has been under her care since December 2022 due to Nate's hospitalization. She also has owned Linus, Lucie's litter mate. When Nate and Alise broke up she kept Linus and he kept Lucie. Free Style Alise Anastasia Reese Abdeen, quite a long name, but her mother couldn't decide on just a first and middle name, no she always liked all three names and gave her daughter just those names. Alise had been born into a rather well known pureblood family in the United States. The Abdeen family held high posts in the American Ministry since the American Ministry was founded. Reese and Daniel Abdeen were a happy couple but Reese had a hard time getting pregnant at first and Daniel became frustrated that they'd tried for so long but his wife couldn't get pregnant. And she began to seek comfort with another man, Christian, a halfblood wizard. After a few times they ended up pregnant and Reese was able to pass on the pregnancy as Daniel. Years later this would come to light but when Alise was born her parents were so very excited, so happy to have the child that they wanted. Years later it came to light that Alise was not Daniel's biological daughter but even with his more old fashioned views he put it to the side because he had the child that he always wanted. Alise had been about six at the time of discovery and there'd been a few tiffs between Daniel and Reese but in the end they agreed that it was for the best. Daniel and Reese made up and would make it better. Daniel had raised the small girl from the time she'd been born and they agreed for her to never know about where she truly came from. She was an Abdeen even if not by blood. Alise was a very spoiled child and definitely became more of a daddy's girl. He would take her everywhere and get her pretty much anything she would ever want. The young girl showed her first signs of magic when she was three years old. She doesn't really remember it but her parents told her that she charmed the gumball machine at a muggle grocery store to release all of it's gumballs because she wanted one. Alise had everything she ever wanted and was raised to be a proper young lady. But her father also raised her to hold her own in a fight. She may have looked like the pretty girl on the outside but as they say it's the inside that counts. At eleven she ended up at Ilvermorny and she couldn't have been happier. Both of her parents had gone to the school and that was where they'd met. She remembers getting her wand for the first time, and going to school. It was always kind of an ironic thing, Ilvermorny, since that had been the place where so many witches and wizards were hunted down for practicing magic. Alise tried hard in school and excelled, maybe not as well as others, but she wasn't failing her classes. She made close friends and even sometimes spent her time gossiping in the group. She was your everyday normal school aged child. During the summers between school years the Abdeen family frequently took vacations to around the world. She learned plenty and always enjoyed them. She had the perfect childhood, the perfect teenhood. And then there was Nathanael Clemence... he was a boy in her year and well she was fifteen and she'd never really spoken to him but something changed. Soon he was flirting with her and she just ignored him. She never liked the way that he approached things. She wasn't some object that one could just woo and never speak to again. But as time went on he began to change. He changed those tactics, he was less of a flirty arse and more of genuine person. He became a person that she would like to spend her time with. And one day she got a letter with a request to meet him in the clock tower. He wanted her to trust him this time. Something about his letter made her want to go up to that clock tower. So she went and he was right. She didn't want to leave that night, and that night just a bit after midnight turned into a relationship that was so very on and off again for the next five years. There were so many times that they had argued, usually it was because she couldn't put up with it anymore and because he had managed to do something. But she fell in love with him, she was the girl in a place because of love. They were twenty when things broke off. Nathaniel had been with another girl while drunk and he tried to make it up but she couldn't. It was finally the straw that had broke the camel's back. She couldn't take the hurt any longer. She'd always have a soft spot for him but she could no longer be in a relationship with him. She couldn't be the girl with her arm wrapped around his. She was the one who told him it was over and the words that he said to her hurt. He dug them deep into her and she spent the next week at her parents curled up in her bed in pajamas and tears. She was a strong person but how else would one react to such words coming from the man that you loved from the time you were fifteen? When she had graduated Ilvermorny she took up a job in the American Ministry in their International Magical Office of Law. She had loved the time that she worked there. She really was her father's daughter. A ministry child who graduated to work in the same line of work as her father. It was nice to be able to follow in the family's footsteps. Weeks after their breakup Nate ended up in a mental healthy ward at St. Margaret's. This was whens he took back in the dog that the couple had once gotten together and split the litter mates apart. Alise visited him occasionally but she didn't know most of the details other than his memories were quite off. They told her that they doubted he would ever be out of the hospital. He'd lost his younger sister and, well it was hard to see him in such a state. But she was careful about how often she did. He seemed to always have a hard time when she visited, but she couldn't just leave him there. There was so much between them, and she still loved him. During Nate's time in St. Margaret's Alise had become involved with another man. A pureblood wizard and he was the guy that she had wished Nate could have been. But still she waits for the other shoe to drop with him. He's respectful, he's never cheated on her, he loves her but sometimes she wonders where her life would have been if she were still with Nate. Carter was the guy that she was happy to have on her arm. They've been dating for about a year now and sometimes she misses the little tiffs that her and Nate got into, it kept things lively. And just recently, here in the last year at a decently convenient time Nate's best friend Liam had him moved to St. Mungo's over in the United Kingdom. At the same time, or well shortly there after the move Carter's job moved him to the U.K. as well. She was able to get a transfer to the Ministry in the U.K. so the move was perfect. And as she has been trying to adjust to this new country, Nate was released from St. Mungo's a change that has brought some different emotions on her. Now she just has to figure things out as Carter is now planning on a proposal that she has no idea about. Life in the U.K. was going to bring some very new choices and a very different life than she was used to. She was not sure if she was prepared for these changes, but all she can do is be patient and find out what happens from here. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend.
