I paced around for hours, on empty, I jumped at the slightest of sounds

Nearly five years ago Honeydukes had been a wonder like weekend dream, a candy land escape when classes always seemed to be at their worst. Now at twenty-two (well it wasn't like twenty-three was that far off, but there was still time till summer) Honeydukes was a place she often found herself passing as she strolled along the village street wasting time before her show at WWN.
Slowly Nyx had started to become a recluse (was it really all that slowly?), it was easy to blame it on her shows hours (even though her closest friends knew other wise....maybe that's why they didn't talk much). But some days, much like today, she found herself wanting to do more than peer into the window and look at those bustling around in the shop. She found herself wanting to be inside, to be among them. She had become nervous in so many ways but she did her best to keep it masked, to wear a smile and bright eyes - no matter how she feared that each person who looked at her knew her secrets, her fears, her worries, everything.
As she entered the sweet shop she could almost feel herself being pulled into good memories of the many weekend she spent her. She didn't let herself linger on them though, no that lead to dangerous thoughts. Instead she pressed on offering a few excuses mes as she made her way towards the salt water taffies. It seemed almost silly that of all the magical candies that surrounded her she still made her way to a simple one, guess everyone had their favorites. After collecting a decent bag full Nyx moved on to the chocolate frogs.
It was here she stood and debated quietly to herself on if she should actually buy a few. Realizing she wasn't alone Nyx acted on an impulse and attempted to make a conversation with the stranger - after all, what was the harm in talking to someone in a candy shop? "I'm hesitant to get anymore...I swear if I don't get Morgan Le Fay I get another Harry Potter!" Nyx offered a small smile with her statement, maybe she was a bit old to be collecting the cards, but didn't everyone get a little excited when they found a new or rare one under their frogs? She did, maybe they did too.

And I couldn't stand the person inside me I turned all the mirrors around
