I don't wanna wake it up, The devil in me
She sat herself on one of the drier rocks that surrounded the water pool at the base of the falls, her broomstick beside her. Tawnee knew she could have just hiked to the waterfall but the girl took every chance she could to hop on her broom and escape. It wasn't as if she got to play quidditch with her house, it had been three years but she still was angry about being kicked off the team.
She was a snake in a den of lions. A daughter in a family of sons. Of course she played with aggression - she just preferred to call it passion. She had the goal of playing for The Falmouth Falcons - and did they always say you should play as if you were on the team you wanted? Wasn't that how you got there or something of the sort?
Tawnee had come in hopes of reflecting - the end of the year was nearing and it meant she was going to have to actually face the struggle of trying to get recruited onto a professional quidditch team. Except, who wanted a player who was kicked out halfway through their first season? She was not some optimist who could see a light at the end of the tunnel, if anything she saw how slim her chances of living her dream really were.
Sure she wanted to be in the spot and known for her skill, but had she ruined everything three years ago? It was so very difficult to see how she could make her dreams come true at this point. The damage had been done and now she was going to have to fight even harder if she wanted to make it reality. But could she do it?
"I'm going to be working at the sweet shop forever..." She muttered to herself as she watched the water cascade down into the pool. Sure, she had done some drag racing the summer before but it wasn't quidditch - it was a fix but it wasn't her dream. Merlin this was not how she pictured growing up to be. Not at all.
