WORDS: 889 OUTFIT: CLICK NOTE: I've just got a sudden muse reading Amery's app. Let me know if there's anything I should change. And no, she hasn't realize why he's mad yet, not how he feels for real. The Gryffindor common room has always been a noisy place, with more than a dozen of brave lions all eager to show off whatever skills they process, this is one house filled with people who're not afraid of gaining attention, even if they are the bad ones. The Gryffindor has always been loud on letting their voices be heard, putting their opinions out there not just because they think they are right, but because it is part of who they are and they wanted others to know how they think. They could be stupid sometimes, reckless, annoying even especially when you meet a Gryffindor who's so stubborn nothing anyone said could change their minds. Gabriella White is one of them, even though most of the time this young girl is friendly, talkative and fun to hang out with, one should know better than to challenge her up to anything. Sitting on the armchair by the fire, her favorite seat, her dark eyes were focusing on the envelope sitting on her laps instead of the performance two seven years are putting on in the middle of the room, some sort of rehearsal for the play Drama Club is going to put up at the winter feast, nothing that interest her much apart from the silliness. Perhaps it's just the mood she's in now. She reached out to pick up the letter, that same moment the room erupted in a roar laughter, lifting up her dark eyes to give the two seventh years a brief glance, her fingers running across that roughly torn edge mindlessly, back and forth, back and forth, as if searching for comfort from this repetitive action. Her eyes quickly lost focus, diving back into the churning torrent of her own thoughts. What was she expecting? She shouldn't even hope that a letter from her parents could be anything good, but she did, foolishly like the stupid school girl she is, she hoped and only been disappointed. Of course her mom would be writing to tell her how stupid she is for getting caught sneaking off school premise after curfew, not to praise her for making it on the Gryffindor Quidditch reserve. Well, since when her parents see her as more than a trouble among the three siblings at home? So perhaps she should cause more troubles for her parents to deal with, after all they don't really care about the good she could be anymore. Leaving her seat the girl left behind the letter which she had fed to the fire, to the hell should she cares about what her parents think about her, and to hell she would bother to reply to that, she told herself to not care long before; she won't care now. Up the stairs this girl stormed, by the third floor she scared a boy running right back into his dorm and two flights of stairs up she got whistles and cheers from the group of fifth years who had left their dorm room's door opened. Brie barely cares. It's time for that idiot to stop fuming and start talking to her again; she missed her best friend. Pushing open the sixth years male dorm door without even knocking, Brie caught two boys within in a deer in headlights moment, "You want to spare us a moment?" she asked the other boy, waving a hand towards the door, a clear dismissal. The Gryffindor sixth year headed off the dorm without needing to be told twice, leaving the room to these two. No doubts rumors would start spreading downstairs once he got there, Gabriella doesn't cares, rumors and scandals doesn't hurt her, most of the time she even welcome them because it serves another blow to her parents' carefully maintained good image. She didn't speak at first, just silently walking around the room, surveying. The layout here is slightly different than how it is in the girls' dormitory, and of course more messy, as expected from the boys. Gabriella lives with two brothers her whole life long enough to know them. Standing by the window and looking out at the night sky, her thoughts spinning trying to get an idea how should this conversation start. What's between them, the years of friendship left in a mess that last time they met, all because she was too obsessed with that new boy transferred from Beauxbatons. Alright, perhaps he isn't the nice guy as she wanted to believe he is, she has been stupid enough to want to think better of him because he's good looking. She deserved to be scolded, yet her pride isn't allowing that word of sorry to be easily said. Well, she's her father's daughter alright. "C'mon, do we stopped talking to one another now?" finally opening her mouth, her voice cutting through that thick silence sounded loud, it was like the whole world has grown quiet just waiting for one of them to say the first word. There she did it, she broke the silence, and she hopes it's enough to get her best friend back. Crossing her arms in front of her chest protectively, she turned towards Amery, one of those carefully trimmed eyebrow raised high, tilting her head to the left her dark hair tumbled forward like a black waterfall. "You gonna stay mad at me forever now?" |
