Look here, what Do you see? Are You Looking Forward to Get Tangle Up in Me? FULL NAME phylliis shin yeon-woo AGE & BIRTHDAY october 23rd - 20 years old OCCUPATION gryffindor alumni/celebrity booker at wizaarding wireless network/twiflitt and tatting's chief designer BLOOD STATUS half-blood FACE CLAIM jessica jung WAND TYPE 14 inches, dragon heartstring, maple PATRONUS grey wolf (though she would sincerely prefer cat) PETS n/a ABILITIES/ SPECIES quarter werewolf - this is what left of a glorious past, a glorious family. still, it never bothered phyllis as she is completely contented with who she is now. she believes that her grandfather made the right decision to leave and build a family of his own, marry whoever he wanted without worrying about pureblood or werewolf transformation ability and whatnot. being only quarter werewolf, she does not transform. nevertheless, the moon does have great impact on her everyday life. she must pay extra care on full moon days as that is when the wolf takes the better part of her, and her temper can be easily ripped out of control. Tell me who you are, I'm sure you're some kind of superstar. Free Style Scandal, scandal, The day you were born was quite scandalous, to be completely honest. Your distant cousins all heard of the birth of a cute little thing named Phyllis. They did not send flowers or presents or just a congratulations card. But you did become the subject of talking for weeks, as people started to discuss how you and your family were a disgrace to the entire family, and the fact that you would never be able to transform into werewolf, despite carrying the blood, was like being born without limbs. And they truly, sincerely hoped that you would go nowhere. That is how people treat betrayer, especially when it comes to family pride. But life went on. The only times you heard from them again were when your siblings were born. The twins received even more judgement than you did, though. Your distant cousins even paid a visit just to see the children. They told your father that their noses were too small and their limbs were not strong enough. And you truthfully unappreciated it and showed your disapproval by biting your auntie’s hand. See, you did not have to be a werewolf to know how to bite. Scandal – now you’ve left me and the world’s gonna know, You grew up fast. All of you. The children of the Shin family were tougher than they look. The neighbours could not help admiring your beauty. They said you could organise a beauty competition within that six-member family. Well, if that did happen, you would volunteer to do all the backstage duties, like planning the show, running the show and shouting at people for their mistakes. Sassy kid. Your mother said as pinching your cheeks. All little girls are sassy in their own way. Being the big sister of three other siblings, you tend to enjoy telling people what to do, though deep inside you believed you were doing them a favour. Not everyone appreciated that. But you guessed it was not that bothering anyway. That year when you were about to turn eleven was a special one: you were leaving home for school. Hogwarts, magic and life! What fascination! Your father tugged you in his arms for a good five minutes while your mother kept reminding you of every possible thing she thought that you needed to know to survive in the outside world. It was time to go. You promised your little sisters and brother that you would bring back something ‘cool’ when summer came. Run, run the train, take you to the land of hope and dream. Scandal, they’re gonna turn our lives into a freak show, You met him in your sixth year at Hogwarts, when you were busy helping the seventh-years organising the spring carnival and he was busy being bossed around by you. He was the only one who acknowledged your passion in directing, planning and organising events without any side comments on your bossiness. He considered it as determination and dedication. How cute! And he had a charming smile, too. He liked to do weird things like making use of his tall figure to block the deadly sun from getting to you, criticising your 5 foot 4 inches height compared to his 6 foot 1 inch height yet smacking others when they did the same. You had no intention in paying him any attention. However, it was very hard to get someone out of your mind when they kept hovering around you. That autumn, the whole street was covered in the exotic red of foliage. Londoners passed the street hastily, paying no attention to a young couple on the side of the street, kissing in the rain. Scandal, now you’ve left me there’s no healing the wounds, The Graduation day was marvellous. There was dancing, drinking and celebrating. It was the first time you got drunk. Early in the morning when you woke up with the hangover, all you remembered was the kisses, the heat and the heartbeats of someone. He was right next to you, sleeping peacefully. You left quietly so as not to wake him up, blinking crazily to swallow the tears lingering in your eyes. It just... did not feel right. It felt as though you had chosen to run away from the world. You stopped seeing him, even talking to him. Every single month after that was a torture. You waited and waited. But it never came. You were late. It was easier to keep things from your parents and siblings as you had moved out after the NEWTs. If only you could keep it from yourself, too – the truth that something was growing inside of you. At the age of seventeen, people care about future and their personal developments. There was a bright future ahead of you. But it seemed like you had blocked all the doors the night you did not come home. So they were right – your distant cousins – about how you would not get far. Your mother would cry her heart out, asking why she had raised such a naughty girl. Your father probably would not want to even look at your face. And you would stay here, in this little house, rotting, watching your little siblings achieve success in life. You could not even take good care of yourself, what would you do with a child? A child. There, it was confirmed. You spent a night writing a letter to him. You were not begging for pity or his presence or for him to come back to her. You were not going to put the blame on him and make him take any responsibilities for this mess. It was merely for information. There was nothing to get your hopes high for. But much to your surprise, he did not reply, but actually came to see you. Idiotically, you hoped, but all you got was an apology. He was sorry, he wanted to take care of you, but he was threatened by his own family who did not appreciate any connection he had with impure-blooded people. You smiled that bitter smile you had never known you had. Then it was an outburst, a lot of screaming, crying and swearing involved. When you sobered from anger, you were all alone. But you asked for it, you pushed him out of the house. And you would never see him again. You remembered him begging you for one thing – ‘don’t give up on the child.’ That summer, you came home. Not the cold apartment you were living in. The true home where your parents forgave wrongs you could have done, where your little brother threatened to kill him for causing you pain, where your little sisters arguing over a name for their new niece, or nephew, where you felt loved. It’s only a life to be twisted and broken, A lot of kids your age went on a gap year, taking a break from life, travelling here and there, seeing the world with their own eyes. You hastily applied for a job. You got your first full-time job after three month of pregnancy – it was a cashier job at Twiflitt and Tatting’s. At least it was a good working environment and the pay was not too bad. You got to see new designs of clothing every day. Sometimes, you poke your nose in some design, fixing a bit of here and there, trying to make it perfect. Some people got annoyed, but the boss did not have anything to say as the sales increased significantly and he received more positive comments from his customers, especially on the elegant and eye-catching designs. By the end of the month, they decided to fire you, as a cashier - because apparently your performance at work was not great at all – and employed you as their chief designer. The job at Twiflitt and Tatting’s was good, yet it was not what you aimed for. Your dream was behind the stage, planning and running successful shows, just like when you were younger. You missed bossing people around, listing things to be done, checking details before the big show. It was your passion. It had led you to him, even when it did not end well for both. On your eighteenth birthday, you decided to give yourself a present – a chance to be successful even with an eight-month old child inside of you. You applied for a position at Wizarding Wireless Network. They were not looking for managers, unluckily, but something else sounded very striking to you: celebrity booker. What a fascinating name. You put on your finest attire and went to the interview with all the courage you managed to gather. It was odd, a lot of people commented, that a pregnant woman applied for an intense job which required meeting a lot of people, having to work at very odd times. The interviewer showed his concerns. But your persuasive tongue made everything work out perfectly. You were given five months until their current celebrity booker officially withdrew from the company. Over and over and over and over again, On the second of December, the Shin family welcomed their newest member – a cute little thing named ‘Emily Shin Hyun-Jung’. So life goes on. It always does. It’s only the person that does not want to move on. But whatever, everyone has to live. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend. |
