FULL NAME Amethyst "Amy" LeeAnn Sanders AGE & BIRTHDAY Eighteen born on birthday in 06-JUL-2006 OCCUPATION St. Mungo's Creature Induced Department Nurse BLOOD STATUS Halfblood FACE CLAIM Park ShinHye WAND TYPE 12 inches, Dragon Heartstring, Avodire Wood PATRONUS Swallow PETS None ABILITIES Non-verbal Magic Tell me who you are, I'm sure you're some kind of superstar. Free Style The lovelies days of the year lies in spring. To be woken up every morning by the sound of bird singing outside your windows, to see shades of greens covered the ground, colors dotted the bushes and trees, more brilliant after months of seeing just various shades of grey and white. The sun felt warm on skin after the bitter coldness, everything came alive, the bees and butterflies are out looking for food. And New Year significant new beginning and new hope to this young lady, this friendly Hufflepuff seventh year who always have a smile to spare anyone and everyone, with the exception perhaps to those who's wrong her in the biggest, most unforgivable way. But of course, anyone who has an ability to do that is certainly annoying indeed, for Amethyst - or more popularly known as Amy - Sanders is one of the most Hufflepuff-ish Hufflepuff one could ever meet. "Hi, good afternoon Amy." "Hey! You're here! Come join us!" Waving a hand Amy invited with a brilliant smile. "What are you doing here?" Crouched down beside her, the interviewer asked quietly, not sure if she should speak loud when Amy was so concentrating looking on the ground at something. "You see that?" Her index finger pointing to the ground, where a line of ants were walking back and forth, some holding a tiny bits of white with them while the other not. Perhaps there's nothing much to see, they are just ants moving around attempting to bring food home to their lair. "You're looking at ants." This is a statement, not a question. She was pretty amused indeed. "Yeah, they are amazing life form don't you think? Though they are smaller than almost anything else in the world, they have so much willpower to live. Selfless, they would do anything for their community, no matter what small an effort each of them can offer, they'd offered their all. Ants are admirable creatures, they deserve more credits given than their tiny form seems to be." "Very well stated. I can see you're a young lady who can hold her thought." Amy smiled rather embarrassingly, her hand reached up to her head, a nervous gesture. "Thank you. And I got carried away, so sorry. Perhaps you would like to sit down so we can proceed with our interview today?" "No worries about that. And I don't see why not." She followed Amy's lead and set down on the stone bench, watched as Amy pour them glasses of pumpkin juice. She thanked Amy when the young girl handed a glass to her, took a sip, "It is indeed a nice day." "Yeah, and this is one of my favorite spot, I love the view of the wide spread ground bordered by the hills at the far end, it felt like the world is bigger than what we have seen and learn." She chuckled again, out of nerves or embarrassment, but the sound of it is cheerful like your morning bell, "Mom always said that I inherited from her the randomness bit, I am sorry about that." "Don't apologize, I like to see you being yourself." "Thank you." "Well, I know that I am here to interview you so to see if you're fitting to be our intern, though I would like to reassure you to not be afraid to be yourself right now, it won't affect your chances with us. In fact your results are very good and you've got high recommendation letter from a professor of yours, I don't think there's a problem for you to join our nursing program after you've graduated; we love to have someone bright and cheerful like you are with us." "Wow, thank you. I would really love to join you all and offer help to those in need." "Alright, let's get a bit official shall we? Care to tell me more about yourself?" "Well, I am Amy S- Amethyst Sanders, seventh year Hufflepuff. I am seventeen years old, my birthday coming up in July, which is still a rather long time to go. Mostly I am just like any normal girl, erm... Friendly? I think many would say I am that... Helpful? I am just a typical Hufflepuff, more of what I can't help myself wanting to offer help to those in need. And I think I am pretty... random? I like to talk, like a lot and I don't really believe in secrecy, though sometimes I do keep a secret or two from a certain someone or another, when there I am not sure it is the time to reveal it yet. My mom is my closest confidant, I tell her almost everything - well, everything would be the word, it is a promise between me and her to not keep any secret from one another. Erm... I get along with almost anybody, unless that said someone did something very wrong to me that has me pissed off, but I don't hold grudge too though it really depends on how the person behave. There is this girl I still can't bring myself to get along with simply because she is still who she is, there's no changing to her personality so there isn't much to forgive, but of course who am I to say forgive when she doesn't owe me anything. It's just that, we were once friend, perhaps friends grown apart but what she did to me, selling me out for something that is beneficial to herself, that is a pretty dodgy move, I don't like that, nor I think anyone would like that. Yeah, perhaps I am not as friendly as I would like to be, everyone has their limits, that's what I believe too." and she chuckled again, "I'm saying too much, am I not?" "No, it is fine, I like to hear you talking about yourself, you seems to have a really interesting personality." "Hah! Mom would call that random, I won't deny I am that too." "You came from a big family, from what I have gathered?" "Erm... I can say, quite? My family is rather... complicated. I will try to make it simple for you. So, basically I have my own family, my father Gabriel Sanders who is a half-blood wizard currently the Quidditch trainee for Appleby Arrows, I love Quidditch because of him, and he is so proud of me making it as a part of my house team. And then there's my mom, who's a journalist, she is a free soul and has a lot of nerves, she also likes to joke and talk and laugh, I love spending time with her. I am their first child and oldest daughter, after me came my two brothers, they came one and two years after me, times are they are the most annoying peoples in my life, but I love them, I just gets annoys at them when I need the bathroom, and they would stay inside it forever. "OK, and then there are my half-siblings, my mother has another family before us. No it isn't a bad thing, I love my half brothers very much too, Roarke and Reynord, one couldn't ask for a pair of big brothers better than they are. You would know Roa, he is a Quidditch star, I heard that he made it as the captain of Tutshill Tornados too, I respect him for his ability to chase after his goal and make his dreams come true. Reynord is the one I like hang out with because he's good with Herbology like I do. He is a healer too, it is his dream to be a healer since he was very young, I remember we - both him and me - use to play healer in the house when we were young. "I've always hope to have a sister, though not in my family, she's not my blood-related sister, but she's Roa's half-sister, his father's daughter, she is in Hufflepuff too, her name is Dany. What I remember of her is that young girl with that brown braids when she first came to school, we grown to be good friends over the year, she is interested in Quidditch as well, as passionate as Roa ever is, I can see her making big thing out of that." "I am glad to hear that you get along with all your siblings. Well, how about the other students? I heard that you get along with all of them as well?" "Erm.. I won't say all of them, but most yes I think so, yeah. I mean, I am not the perfect person who everyone likes, no one can be that I supposed. But I get along with most people, yeah, maybe getting along better with someone than the other. Just like I said, as long as they are not being an annoying jerk, I would like them very much." "Well, I've heard something from the other school - I tends to keep tab at school gossips - they said that you're seeing someone? I hope that's not a part of your life that's too private for us to know." "Ahh..." Amy bit her lips and smile brightly, like she was talking something happy, at the same time it was noted that faint redness coming up her cheeks, "You're pretty well-wired. Yeah, I am seeing someone. You might know him, his name is Jonathan Davies." "I think I've heard of his name... He's in the hospital isn't he?" "Mhm, he's a healer in Magical Diseases department, someone very brilliant too, smart, patience..." "You would know that, even if you make it into St. Mungo's, you might not be in the same department and neither you will find yourself a lot of time to see each other during working hours, don't you? I just hope you won't think of joining us with holding on that false hope." "No, I of course- I- No, I joining the nursing program because I really want to help, I figure myself is rather good with taking care of people, and there came the thought to. It is certainly not because of Jonathan." "No, don't worry, it is just a general advice because there are plenty of girls who's trying to be something they are not just because they are in love. I am glad that is not the case with you. Amy bit her lips and gave her interviewer a small smile, an expression that's almost relieve crossed her face, "I- Thank you. Well, I really mean it, thank you." "Well, let's get to something lighter, what you like to do when you have free time?" "Singing, I like music, in fact I love it a lot. I plays guitar and write songs occasionally, when I have muse. Then I dance, well, a little. And I also like to sketch, not paint, I am bad at painting. Apart from that, flying, and taking care of magical creatures and working hands-on, I enjoys outdoor activities too much, mom said that I have a rare animal affinity, but it is not like a special ability I know some students have inherited from their family, more like, a passion for that? I am a strong believer that passion makes up any lacking of skills on a person." "You are really a lovely person. Speaking of special abilities, I know some in your family are rather... special. What about you?" "You mean my older brother's ability to metamorph? Or my younger brother's seer ability? Well, not me, I am neither a seer nor an metamorphmagus, but I am pretty special at being friendly don't you think? Mom used to say I am all special in my own way, I am already magical and there's really nothing more that I want. Well, maybe to master wandless magic, it would come in handy, but I've did that several occasion when I was upset, like when I was very upset. Three times in my whole life in fact." "What happened? And when?" "Well, it is pretty embarrassing, rather. The first time when I was ten, I was fighting with my younger brother - not Ryne obviously, Ryne is mostly an angel, you can ask the other girls - the fight gotten pretty bad, he was reading the lyrics I've written out loud, I mean, those are pretty private stuffs, I used to treat my songs like a diary to my life. What happened in that lyrics he was reading was my feeling for a boy in my class, I was at Primary - muggle - school, and there was this boy, this blonde boy who's very good at study and I like him. Like, like him like him. Erm... Well, this is embarrassing, obviously that was a crush, my first actually, and I've written lyrics about him all in my book, and he was reading it out loud, in front of Ryne and my mom! I was horrified, and desperate because I can't make him stop. There was a flash, it was pretty terrifying, I never mean that to happen, but there was a flash of light, lightning in fact, it came down beside his feet, scared him out of his wit, my poor brother. He developed fear out thunderstorm from that day on. I am just so sorry. But he should have learn not to touch my things - or anyone's for that matter - without their permission. "Second time was at school, a few of us was by the Black Lake playing late that evening, it was after examination and we don't feel like going back and sleep yet. A few of us girls were talking, sitting by one side and two other boys were playing, doing whatever boys do. And out of a sudden came the calling for help, one of the boys misstep and fell into the lake. You know all the horror stories they said about the lake, that giant squid would eat students alive, we have got to do something; he was flapping around, it isn't hard to tell that he doesn't know how to swim. I felt it, a slight tingling and came the wind. And the next thing we know he was being thrown out of water like the lake vomit him out. That perhaps isn't me, I never thought it was me at first, but it was later that I was told by a professor that I have a natural tendency over elemental magic, like I can have direct influence over the earth, air, water and fire. However I never really have an ability to control that yet. "Third time that happened I had a fight with Jon, he was avoiding me, back when I was fourth year and he was sixth. I thought that he knew how I felt about him hence went out of his length to avoid me. I went to find him, must be pretty desperate too, and his stubbornness, oh, he's just so stubborn! I was frustrated then I guess, I felt that... I felt like punching him. But no, I didn't have to do that, came an apple hitting him at the back of his head there, it came from someone's picnic basket. Well, that stopped him, and his expression..." She couldn't helped giggling, attempting to bite that back, "Let's just say it is something we laugh over these days when we think back on it." "That was pretty awesome. I had a really good time talking to you Amy. Now, one last one before we part, something to tell us why should we accept you into our training program?" At that, Amy's expression blanked for a while, fell silent she went deep into thoughts, her eyebrows furrowed deep with the effort. "Well, perhaps I don't look like much, but I have all the passion in the world dedicated to offer help and care for those who needs it, I wanted to make a difference to the world, however small that effort would be, I want to give my all to make this world a better place." "Just like the ants." The interviewer couldn't help but answering, her smile knowing. "Yes, just like the ants." "Very well, you will hear from us very soon Amy. And I won't be surprise to see you again." "Thank you." She sighed and smile, the smile that feels like it would make everything in the world lighter. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend. |
