Sarah had been at the pub since 8pm on the previous night. It was now coming on 2am, which was around the time that she normally would signal last call for drinks before closing down the bar for the night and sending the patrons home. Of course, there was a number of people who were staying here, taking advantage of the attached Inn, and they were welcome to stay, however, the bar itself would shut down until the morning. Last call was always one of her favorite and least favorite times of the night. It signaled that the end of her shift was near and she would soon be able to go home and go to sleep. However, it also meant that people were at their drunkest and at their most willing to be rowdy.
Sarah rarely had problems, and she hoped that tonight would be a good night. She hoped that none of the patrons would cause her any issues and would simply go home after finishing their drinks. Or at least would get out of the bar. They didn't have to go home, she thought. She didn't really care where they went as long as they went somewhere. Sarah could handle her own, and she wasn't worried about any sort of fight or problem, she had always been a skilled witch. But she just preferred when everything worked out. Sarah climbed up behind the counter and rang the bell on the wall signalling last call. She'd be serving drinks for another 10 minutes or so before she began her close and clean up.
