Egypt, it was always a treasure trove of - well treasures. Ancient artifacts were rare and dangerous to find. Emilla enjoyed the danger that came with her job though. She got to explore places that other wizards and witches could only dream of explore. She faced challenges that many scholars couldn't have imagined - or maybe they could have, after all wizards had set all the wards and traps. Nevertheless Emilla loved the adventure of being a curse breaker.
Today they were setting up the camp, it would take a few days to tackle all the traps that were set in this new found treasure trove. It was almost laughable how muggles assumed they had discovered all the buried secrets of the Egyptian desert. She was setting up her tent, over the years she had been able to afford the nicer roomier tent and when you had a job that you lived out of tent you wanted the best of the best. She was proud of her little home away from home - not that she actually had much of a real home, she didn't even have a real family.
It was after she had finished setting up her tent that she spotted him, "Well, well, well, if it isn't Vikhrov," Emilla smirked, she had crossed paths with the other curse-breaker before,of course she worked for different independent contracts (some not always as legal as others). Still Dmitry had been enjoyable the times they had worked with one another, maybe it was because you didn't find many northern wizards and witches, they had graduated from the same school though it had been years apart. Still, common ground was common ground.
"Good to see you again Dmitry, had it been a few months more I might have had to assume that you had an accident on the job." Of course when she said this she meant as a curse breaker, she could make some assumptions about him working with the Xanthopoulos family she didn't care to pry or find out for all she cared he was a curse breaker and that was it - she didn't need to know anything else. Honestly she most likely didn't even want to know anything else - that's how you get yourself in trouble, or killed.
