I know I've posted this before, and I'm not posting this in the absence thread at all mostly because I'm not going to be absent but maybe a little slow on replies. So over the last couple weeks at work, we've had several managers leave. Lots of changes have been going on in the theater and it's been insane. In short. Our Concession's Department Head is leaving in the next couple months and we are all going under changes as concession managers, which is insane. Different things have been issued which has required a lot of changing our day to day as managers. Our Usher Department Head; quit by email, she also ran Birthday Parties. And our Box Office Department Head moved to Virginia. While it all seems like bad news, it really isn't.
Our previous Birthday Party head also stepped down, he still works with us but stepped down. I got volunteered for birthday party manager along with our marketing manager. So my work days have been crazy. I call people, try and get Birthday Party Attendants scheduled, and this week I get to go purchase a ton of birthday party stuff, estimating gonna spend about $200+ on things that will, in the long run, save us money. I love it, it makes me happy and everything, but is a little stressful. Bare with me while I adjust to this, I am always accessible and willing to chat, just replies may be a bit slow.

Birthdays have been good! But this a bit of an update on my life as a whole. So I've been working into minimalism and I absolutely love it, I feel happy, I got rid of about 90% of my clothes which is so much weight off of my shoulders! Yay! So that's just part of the exciting stuff going on in my life. I'm going to be saving money for travel, I've saved nearly $1000 since the beginning of the year, I've spent some of it on things I needed/wanted to help better my life and currently have about $500 saved which is still so much more than I've ever saved, like ever. I bought a new laptop, it's a Chromebook so that's taking some time getting used to, I love it so much. I like that I'm not mindlessly using my computer any longer. I purchased a new backpack, it's an Osprey Kyte for future hikes and traveling, it's carry on size which is awesome. I also got a brand new camera so I can start my photography once again. And in further news, I will be going to Salt Lake Comic Con Fan Experience here on St. Patrick's Day weekend, where I'll be meeting Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), James Roday (Shawn Spencer from Psych), Dule Hill (Gus Guster from Psych), and Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones). I will share these when I get back. But this is my first Con and I'm super excited to go!

Hey all!
I've been struggling a lot as of late. It's why I've not been around. My life went from exciting to crazy in all about a month after being married. Long story short, my dog has been diagnosed with an undifferentiated Sarcoma, but they believe it's an Osteosarcoma. So most of my time has been taking her to vet appointments to figure out what to do. All in all we'll probably be losing her in the next couple months. The surgery to cure her is too risky and we don't want to jump in too deep and then watch her suffer for the last of her life. So we're hoping that she will just remain happy and healthy other than the cancer and not realize anything is wrong with her and when she declines we'll look at euthanasia as it's the best option. So as you can tell that in and of itself has been very difficult. I've been spoiling her rotten and spending as much time with her as possible.
So... that's been the bad. There's also been good in the same time period. Since getting married in September, we delayed our honeymoon. A plan to go to Disney World in Florida this upcoming April. So there's been an incredible amount of planning for the trip. (This is kind of mixed good and bad. Mostly because before we got the final risks and knowledge of what surgery for Seldi would incur, we were still planning on taking the trip. Which in turn has riddled me with guilt.)
I've also been working on crafts to try and start a home business at some point. So I've been knitting things like crazy. And as of today, I can officially make a decent looking pair of Mickey Ears (Made a Stitch Pair for prep for our Disney trip).
Anyways so that's been a good bit of what's going on here in Jess' world.
