He was the last child of only four born, all boys. Corban worked as a muggle nurse at a hospital in London and Wendi was an orthopedic surgeon at the same hospital. The boys began to raise themselves since their parents had such busy work schedules, there were days that they hadn't even seen their parents. Damien's oldest brother, Shaun, had been twelve years older than Damien when he was born so he'd always had someone there for him. Shaun had been a second father to him, helping out where he could after their mother went back to work. The late toddler years were tough for Damien, he had shown some of his magical abilities at the age of three but no one could explain them. His parents just explained it as unexplainable events that they could not understand. Corban and Wendi didn't attempt to understand what was happening. None of the other boys had shown anything so strange about them, but you couldn't just go to the doctor for unexplainable events like why the cookie jar was in one place one moment and in another place the next moment with only one culprit to blame in the room. Jonathan and James thought it was fun to get their younger brother to do things like that since he could. They were just finishing up primary school when Damien was four years old. The young boy went to muggle primary school just like his siblings and learned and studied like the good child he was. With his parents absent he tended to have some anxiety problems about being left that had extended well in adulthood for him. A fear that will always be there for him is being left by loved ones. At the same time he was raised well to be a good person, one who enjoyed to help out others. During these years he learned to be a good liar, one who knew well how to fool his parents into believing something that wasn't quite true, or hiding the truth. He was great at hiding the truth more than anything else. It was at ten years old that he learned that he was a wizard. His parents didn't believe that such thing existed and the man that had come from this place that sounded like a child made the name as a joke, well they told him off. Nonetheless the professor had pushed his parents to understand and had been there for Damien to learn all about Diagon Alley and Hogwarts. Corban and Wendi were not very accepting of their son's abilities. Yes, he would always be their son but after the school year at Hogwarts they would no longer be able to care for someone like such in their home. Even knowing that he wasn't going home after his first year at Hogwarts, Damien was so fascinated by the world that he entered. He boarded this train at King's Cross Station on a platform that you had to go through by running into a wall. Platform 9 ¾ was so interesting. A beautiful train sat in front of him called the Hogwarts Express, he thought it funny that witches and wizards were to get to school by a train. He had boarded the train and found an empty compartment along the middle of the train and had took a seat with a small kitten that he had come up with the name of Badger in his lap. He was so small that he fit in the palm of Damien's hand. That cat grew to be his best friend and only family. The arrival at Hogwarts was so very interesting, they rode these little boats across a large lake that lead up to a large castle. It was amazing, he'd honestly never seen such a thing in his life. His eyes scanned every detail that he possibly could get in. The castle inside was even more amazing. It was spectacular, and the Great Hall before he got sorted, well the enchanted ceiling that he had read about in his Hogwarts, A History book couldn't describe how beautiful it was. There was this whole world that he belonged in that he didn't know about until just recently. He was so very glad to be at Hogwarts. He'd been sorted into Ravenclaw, it was known as the house for clever people. He never had really put him in that category but then again he was raised by two very intelligent people. He never though would have said he's that smart, besides he knew nothing of magic, how could he be put into this house. Ever since he studied hard to make sure he knew what they were learning and by the years end he did a good job and ended up with good grades. It was the end of the school year that he was a little nervous for going back home. He knew what his parents had said to him, that he was no longer accepted at home. He didn't know where he would be going once he got off that train. After he got off the train at King's Cross, he waited for what seemed like forever until someone came to get him. It wasn't his parents, it was a woman who was there to take him to a home. He had never been a bad kid but from what the lady had explained was that he could still go off to his school each year for troubled children but during the summer he would live in a home with a woman who dealt with troubled children. His parents had made him out to be this terrible person because he had gone to Hogwarts. The day he left that platform for Hogwarts was the day that he last saw his parents and his brothers. Even family ties couldn't be strong when something like that happened. He grew bitter throughout the summer, had a hard time connecting with people. His foster mother, Rebecca was very kind woman and she worked with him the best she could but he couldn't tell her anything. He just stuck with the story that he was troubled and that's why his parents could no longer keep him. The years of Hogwarts went by well. He always had a much better time there than he did at home. He even got Rebecca to sign the permission slip to let him go to Hogsmeade, not that he could spend money on anything. As he got older he worked in a muggle restaurant during the summer to make money for the next year so he didn't have to rely so much. It was when he was fifteen and took his O.W.L.s that he decided in the ended he would want to work at Hogwarts. He wanted his life to continue here at the school. And during his seventh year he focused on Potions, Charms and Muggle Studies. As a muggleborn he wanted to be able to teach what he knew, but he also wanted to teach charms. In the end he stuck with what he knew and worked on teaching muggle studies. Directly out of school he was a barkeep at the Three Broomsticks. He kept that as a job until the Muggle Studies position opened up at Hogwarts He's been working at Hogwarts for two years now and is very happy with his job as the Muggle Studies Professor. He keeps to himself but is always interested in learning new things. Here at Hogwarts it has been home to him, and now he was very happy to be back. When he got his position at Hogwarts he bought an owl that he named Nazca to be able to send any letters that he need, because now that he didn't live directly in Hogsmeade, he hated using the post and he had always hated going up to the owlery. His cat Badger had come with him, the fourteen year old cat is still his best friend and follows him everywhere like a little puppy dog. Let's us all just be friend, And together we can start a new trend. ALIAS: Jess AGE: 23 DISCOVERY: The one and only Paige CHARACTERS: A plethora of peoples NOTES: made by paige |
